Hi there! I'm Charlie, a 23-year-old student from Belfast, Northern Ireland. When I'm not studying, I like to spend time outdoors. Whether it's running, cycling, even camping, as long as there's fresh air, I'm there!

I would say I'm very easy-going. I'm certainly a people person, but I also appreciate my time alone. It's hard for me to say no to a beer in good company (of course, I'm Irish!)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Right now, I'm doing my first solo bikepacking trip around Europe. I hope Couchsurfing will help me prolong my budget so I can travel for longer. I also think it will be a great way to meet people in a different sort of way.

I like all kinds of music, but particularly rap, electronic and classic rock & roll. This one is definitely an in-person conversation! Haha

Any movie from Christopher Nolan is a favourite of mine, but Interstellar is the best. I should also mention that the Sopranos is the best TV show of all time, and I'm not even going to argue about it.

Favourite fiction, 1984 by George Orwell (honourable mention: To Kill a Mockingbird). Non-fiction, Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harrari. Fascinating book.

I ran my first marathon this year in Edinburgh! At 4hr, 11min, this was amazing for me because last year, I could not run up my stairs!

As I'm sure you know, my home country has a rich political history. Having lived in and studied the infamous 'Troubles' thoroughly, I can tell you anything you'd like to know. I can also give you good places to visit in Northern Ireland, if you would ever like to go ( I would recommend).
