I was originally from Taiwan. I came to the USA to study and currently settled in the Washington DC metro area, where people visit every year.

I go out and meet with people from allover the world. I like to share my knowledge about the area, help family and tourists to navigate the city. Sometimes, I would suggest places, only the locals know about, for their visit during their stay.

I look forward to seeing other parts of the country, connecting with the locals and making friends across the nation. Maybe someday, we can travel to Taiwan together, where I was from. We can go biking, hiking, sightseeing, surfing, diving, snorkeling and enjoy the delicious foods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to connect with the locals for places/cities where I will visit. I like to learn their knowledge about the area and their travel experience, as well as sharing mine.

I look forward to making friends with the same mind set who appreciate what the world has given to us and looking for ways to return.

Interests

I enjoy outdoors actives, including Biking, Hiking, Running, Kayaking, Swimming, Skiing and Sightseeing.
I like color and enjoy taking photos about people, nature, and events. I read books, listening to music when the weather is not permitted for outdoors activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a broad interest in music, movies and I read variety of books. Still prefer to hold and smell the book rather than the e-Book :(

I enjoyed "phenomenon of the opera" musical, Disney songs, singing by Andrea Bocelli/ Celine Dion, performance by Yanni, the Piano Guy and many others...

I am not a TV or video game person. I just currently learned about a series of the Marvel movies by Disney.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life was filled with amazing things and people. It is hard to pick up just one. I am listing a few of them below:

- xCross country by Amtrak. Visited 8 major metropolitan cities and 6 National Parks in the United State.
- Climbed the tallest mountain, Yushan (12,966 ft.) from the sea level, in Taiwan.
- Cycling the island Taiwan (600 Miles.)
- Cycling on Allegany trail and C&O Canal Trail from Pittsburg to DC (350 Miles)
- Join Couchsurfing and connecting with people :)
