COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Canada and USA. Great experiences so far, have only surfed... promise to host once I finally settle down! :P

Interests

German, Chinese, French, linguistics (sort of... my major in college), cognitive science, geography, simple living, urban planning, urban gardening, urban transportation, cycling, bike trails everywhere!, hiking, naturism, religion and/or philosophy, world travel, music improvisation (trumpet, accordion), street bands, folk and protest songs, peace, love, harmony, and understanding.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like too much music and too many movies. Not hollywood and not big music industry. Chances are if it's not in English, I'll watch it or listen to it. Subtitles please! No dubbing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled through China (while living there for 8 months). Played trumpet in a German ska band (while living there for 3 years).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a good and patient language teacher and learner. I'm even happy to have someone teach me my first words in a language I've never tried before. I know English not just as a native-speaker but as a teacher, so I know why it's so confusing. I love to do language exchange.
