Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am living in Egypt and have an incredibly busy schedule between school and work so I cannot host in the way I want to at the moment. However while I am in this region of the world I want to begin surfing when I have free time to travel. And ultimately when I return to the States, I want to begin hosting. I want to meet those already integrated into their cultures and to learn from them and at the same time share my knowledge, and in the end walk away with a new friend.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have neither hosted or surfed yet, but I have been meeting many people who have and have had incredible experiences. The most indepth look I got at a CS experience was meeting up with a friend in Cairo who was surfing with an Egyptian guy. We all met up for beers and as well as I got along with the guy and my friend, I was amazed at how those two connected and acted like they were best friends even though they'd only known each other for a few days.
