About Me
Hola!
My name is Charlie, I am a 22 year old Norwegian guy, and I am currently travelling around South America.
My interest in traveling came from an early age, my parents would take me and my brother around places in Europe and the United States. I had my first independent travelling experience/culture exchange when I was 17, when I went for an exchange for a year to New Zealand during high school. There I lived with a maori family and learned to speak English fluently.
Since then my joy for travelling has only increased. I lived for two years in China through a scholarship I got, and I have also interrailed through Europe twice. Last year I lived in Buenos Aires for 5 months to study Spanish and some other courses, así habló español! I have been travelling the New Year, through Uruguay and Brazil.
I would describe myself as a down to earth, easy going, with an open mind towards new people, cultures and ideas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a romanian guy at my couch for a couple of days after I met him after an impro-theatre show that he was starring in . He had just arrived to Bergen (my hometown) and got a job as a tourist guide and was looking for a flat, so I offered him to stay at my couch for a couple of days until he found a place. After that we became close friends and see each other regularly, and that was five years ago!
While I was living in New Zealand and China I met many great and welcoming people who offered me to stay at their place, so I have spent several nights at other people's places, so it's something I'm quite used to. I always respect my host and will help out in any way I can.
Interests
I have plenty of interests and I am always curious to learn new things, so please feel free to ask me about anything. Never stop learning!

Sharing a bottle of wine at a helipad at the 45th floor in Shanghai (we were not supposed to be there, hehe) with a person I really liked :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Good conversations (arts, philosophy, political theory, economics, or daily life!), musical exchange, I can play violin, jam some different instruments, and now a bit about music theory, language exchange (English, Norwegian, Chinese, Spanish), I've done yoga for two years so I can teach some basic moves.
