Overview
About Me
Born and raised near Paris, I'm now a teacher in a French high school in Normandy. I love this area, so green and peaceful. We do get a lot of rain but that gets easily compensated with good cheese and wine to share with friends !
I live with my partner, Max, in the historical center of the city of Rouen, a 10 minute walk from the train station, right by the famous cathedral (the one Claude Monet famously painted over and over).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like discovering a place through someone else's recommandations, to get out of the beaten tracks and get a glimpse of what it is to live in a different place than mine. I also love this idea of sharing and mutual help in times dominated by a bottomless interest for profit.
Interests
Language, education, discovering new landscapes, things and people.
Unexpected encounters with unknown friendly people you end up having a lot in common with.
Good laughs.
I love listening to stories, recorded and live, learning new stuff. I LOVE listening to the radio.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some music I like, in no particular order: Depeche Mode, Les Savy Favs, Ottis Redding, Billie Holiday, Monteverdi, Queens of the Stone Age, A Place to Bury Strangers, Chet Baker, Philip Glass...
Movies: I prefer independent movies but can't deny a passion for some franchises like James Bond or Indiana Jones.
Books: I love reading but reckon I don't spedn enough time doing so. Some novels I've particularly enjoyed reading : Mrs Dalloway, The Wasp Factory/Iain Banks, Canada/Richard Ford, Three Men in a Boat/Jerome K Jerome, On the Road, All The Pretty Horses & The Crossing / Cormac McCarthy, House of Leaves/Danieleswki, Aurélien/Aragon, (to be continued)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A horse treck in the plains of Mongolia.
I've come up face to face with a herd of deers on a hill in Scotland.
I find amazing stuffs that are not so amazing in terms of achievements but intense in terms of how I exeperienced them. I don't like being scared (except with movies) and I prefer the thrills of a peacefully breathtaking landscape to a skydive.
