About Me

Graduate psychology student who has been working as an educator in an OSHC centre. I have been travelling and like Iiving in Australia for the last year living my dream.

I'm trying to just live my life in the moment and love trying to whatever I feel like doing at that time. This can mean I'm impulsive but I can appear like I plan ahead.

This can mean that I am a bag of contradictions. I can be the party girl and the girl who is mellow and wants to chill, I can be the active sporty girl and the girl who is sitting on the beach reading a book. I love to joke and have a bit of banter (of course, im scouse) but i do also love putting the world to rights. So when you meet me, depends which side of me you will catch. Love to meet other free spirited people who are just up for living life!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel and meet people who live in different countries. I want to travel off the beaten track but I need a bit of help to guide me there. I love the whole idea that people are like yeh you can stay in my house and there are no expectations (Hopefully :/), a bit like hippy love.

I am currently living in bondi and would love for other travellers to come visit our amazing community. I just have to check with my flatmates first.

When I return from my trip I would love to open up my home to others to visit and not have to find some expensive hotel and feel a bit more at home and see the local side of a city.

Interests

Love playing sports, especially tennis, rounders, netball, hockey, and getting involved in outdoor activities, hiking, and just generally having a wander around a new place.
I'm really curious and that can make me a bit geeky and love visiting art galleries and museums. I usually come out with some of "Charlie's Fun Facts" that I have somehow acquired.
Salsa, Bachata, belly dancing, samba, any type of dancing- even if people are watching I don't care. I'm usually the first one up and also the girl they are trying to get out of the club cos its 6am and they are trying to lock up.

I keep getting more interests cos I basically want to try everything at least and some things I get addicted to :) .

Music, Movies, and Books

I devour books, and when I say books, I mean the paper books not the electronic kind, nothing better than them. Although this can be a problem whilst Im travelling :/
My absolute faves of all time are:
The Great Gatsby(book)
To Kill a Mockingbird(book)
Eat Pray Love(book)

I'm a bit more picky with films and they have to be highly acclaimed for me to want to watch it. Absolutely adore Into the Wild(film), just makes me want to go and live off the beaten track.

Music I enjoy every day and I am less picky, I listen to most things that I can dance to, latin music or RnB and everyone loves a bit of cheeky pop :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled the himalayas in India for charity. I have never felt so ill and determined in my entire life.

Volunteered in a psychiatric hospital in Sri Lanka.

Bought a oneway flight to Stockholm, with no plan and travelled across Scandinavia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you to salsa or to dougie. I've been known to teach English as well. :)

I have a great curiosity about other countries and cultures. In the next year, I would love to learn how to surf and how to speak french fluently. But if you have anything else to teach me, please do so.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My infectious energy, optimism. and love of spontaneity. I'd like to say my cooking skills, but I'm no Michelin star chef but I make some mean sweet potato fries. Of course, I would cook a meal to say thank you for allowing me to stay.

Countries I’ve Visited
