Meeting the locals gives you a real feeling for the country, you're not you a tourist passing by scratching on the surface.
Instead you get to experience an inside view on things and (that's the biggest bonus!) you get to meet new people, who are so open-minded and good hearted that they give let you come in to their homes, which I think is amazing.

As said, if you're ready to try it I'd be happy to cook some German dishes for you and if you try to learn German I'll do my best in teaching.
Other than that I am afraid I have to admit I don't have any special skills, but I'll try to be a useful, helping hand at all time!
