Overview
About Me
I currently work in biomedical engineering and neuroscience, and will start a PhD program this fall in biomedical engineering.
I love being outside when it's nice out. My favorite outdoor activities are camping, hiking, kayaking, and swimming in lakes.
When I'm inside, I love to cook. I'm one of those weird vegan freaks though, so you might be grossed out when you see how many veggies I can put away in one sitting :P But really, I'm a normal non-preachy human and easy to get along with.
420 friendly, LGBTQI friendly, generally just friendly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I plan to quit my job at the end of April to do a road trip from Albuquerque up through the rockies, then through Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, all the way up to Banff national forest in British Columbia. I'll be camping the entire time in surrounding forests, and it would be lovely to crash on a couch here and there and get a shower in ;)
It will just be me and my dog - a 6 year old shiba inu/akita mix. He's pictured in one of my photos. He is extremely friendly and will immediately become your friend, and luckily he isn't slobbery, but he will kiss your face if you let him! So don't let me crash at your place if you're allergic :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month in Vietnam with two of my best friends a couple summers ago. Vietnam stretches far from North to South, and is very thin East to West, so we were able to start in the north and travel from city to city all the way to the south. We got to see beaches, cities, rural rice farms, bays, and mountains. We even got to ride motorbikes along the Hai Van pass (known as one of the most beautiful drives in the world!)
