Hello! I am 26 an English, and have just finished a 6 month tour of south east asia - A LOT OF FUN!
My parents opened my eyes to the travelling/backpacking community at the age of 8 - not quite sure how they managed to take 3 loud and hyperactive kids through Thailand, Nepal, Hong kong, Kenya and still remain sane-ish, but they did, and its these expereinces that have shaped me for the better - i hope. I believe travelling opens your mind, and forces you to experience such a lot in a shorter amount of time.

I travelled with a wonderful Swiss-Italian friend through thailand and laos and she couldnt recommend it enough! Also on a workaway trip in Malaysia our host Fifi mentioned how fun it could be and her own experiences from it.
ALSO, after travelling for the last 6 months, the finances are certainly wearing thin and couch surfing is a great way to get around that problem!

I will soon be a bit more static in Canada, BC and can offer couches in return for the generosity others have shown me.
