I'm a bubbly, happy person with a passion for life and travelling. I've worked as an engineer and more recently a project manager but my personal trips and time spent working as cabin crew have taken me to places I never thought I would visit and I’m yearning to see more.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I made so so many friends using CS while I was travelling around South East Asia and America, and while my travels as cabin crew were super amazing, it could be quite lonely. I miss meeting locals through CS and sharing travel stories and tips, I hosted a bit in the UK and I'm heading to Canada to be with my boyfriend soon so we will host there too!

Couch surfing is the perfect way to see a new place because you get the best insider information! I've made some lifelong friends through CS so I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the community!

I truly believe in the broadening of horizons through leaving your comfort zone and meeting people with views which differ from your own.

Intereses

I love yoga and meditation, normally on a morning and I'm trying to get into running at the moment. I hike and love going for a walk. Love love love rugby league (but I also like union.) I've watched it since I was a kid - never played, don't think my bones would stand it. And finally, I love to ski, it’s been a while but I’ve skied New England a few times and it was honestly so beautiful. I would love to take a boat out while on the beautiful Australian coast, I have sailed once before and loved it!

My biggest interest has to be travel (duh) and science and engineering, but I won't nerd out here.

Música, películas y libros

I love to binge watch series’. The Gilmore Girls will forever be my life philosophy and Parks and Rec got me through my final year exams. I’m a huge GOT fan so would be willing to discuss anything GOT. Other than that I tend to read travel inspired books, old classics, and more recently, some biographies. I love love love Into The Wild and carried a beat up, bookwormed copy all through Asia that I found in a hostel in Sri Lanka.

I love all kinds of music, I literally couldn't narrow that down, I will listen to anything as long as the mood is right. Movies wise I like comedies, the standard chick flick and rom com and select horrors as long as there isn't too much blood and guts.

A friend and I hitch hiked from Nottingham to Croatia for charity in my first year of university. It was terrifying, exhilarating and so much fun. The people I met hitching gave me an appreciation for asking the simplest of questions and finding so much out about a person, you may as well have asked the deepest question. It showed me how open people are if you just give them a chance.

I’m an ideal person to have deep conversations about physics, the universe and the meaning of life with. Yeah I went there. I can make friendship bracelets - great stress reliever. I also have a lot of knowledge about the aviation industry, planes, and life up in the air, including travel tips and weird facts about flying. I also just have some cool stories from being paid to travel the world a few days at a time.

I am happy to help you learn or perfect your English, and I actually did this for a lot of people while I was a surfer. Most English people are too polite to correct you but if it would help you, I'm happy to be of service, nicely of course :)

I would be open to learning to cook some of your favourite dishes, and I’d be happy to share my cooking knowledge with you. I make a mean cheese cake! My best thing to do with hosts and surfers alike is to just share stories.
