About Me

i am currently living in beautiful regensburg, studying medicine. this takes a lot of my time, but i always try to have time for cooking (i love food but i am not the best cook), meeting up with friends or (sometimes, mostly in the exam period because of procrastionation) sports. i love to go running by the river danube or i take part in the university sports programm. after finishing high school i decided not to torture myself with medschool straight away, but to travel, see some more of the world, learn and enjoy my life. i now live in a shared flat with 3 lovely roommates, which makes hosting a little bit difficult, because we don't have much space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

when travelling, i like to get to know places, not just see all the sights and do what tourist groups do, but to see the city or country from the view of somebody, who has actually lived there. so for me, there is no better way than to live with someone local, to share experiences and stories about life and travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

my taste of music is quite various. but there are some things i can always listen to, like alt-j, moderat, simon and garfunkel or ratatat (my all time favourite is 'gettysburg').
i usually don't find much time for reading, but while travelling i really enjoy it. i really like the german author wolfgang herrndorf and try to read everything he's written (which is not that much, because he died at a young age). i am currently reading his 'last book', which is kind of an autobiografy but mostly his blog from the time he fought cancer (and commited suicide in the end). one of my favourite books is about a dictatorship build on the health system, it's called 'corpus delicti' and is written by (also german) juli zeh.
i am more the tv show kind of person, i love sherlock, game of thrones, breaking bad and better call saul, but also gossip girl and (obviously because of becoming a doctor) series like grey's anatomy. but i also enjoy going to the cinema, one of my favourite movie is 'victoria', a one shot movie by a german director.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i've lived in nepal for 4 months, stayed with a local family and did an internship in a hospital. this was a great experience not just for my medical studies by learning about the nepalese health system but also i became a more openminded person and got to know a lot of nepalese culture and lifestyle. some time has passed since i left nepal and i really want to go back, because it is a beautiful countra with wonderful people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

i'd like to share stories and experiences about travels, interests, musics or books, culture, everything you'd like to share.
i am not the best cook but i am quite proud of my scrambeled eggs, so of you're interested i can make them for you!
