About Me

I would describe myself as a collage. I am a jack of all trades and have lived a life learning and picking up all number of skills, experiences and memories along the way. I am a 26 year old Sydneysider who has a huge passion for traveling, and meeting excellent human beings around the world.

I am very open minded, and after 4 years of study, and 4 years of working full time, I have decided to hit the books again and go back to study Psychology.
I love good food, and I find I often struggle with putting a list together when it comes to culinary conquests, so many delicious places to visit, and only so many meals in a day.

I am very proud to say I am a member of a music appreciation society called Wi Chi Chi. Wi Chi Chi stands for Wine Cheese and Choones (tunes). First formed in 2006 in Canberra by 5 Uni students, our group is now made up of 34 members scattered between Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Seattle, New York and London. While we have some very serious music aficionados in the group, our get togethers are much more about a collective of interesting people being invited to share good food, good wine, good music and most of all great company. In 2013 we officially began the Wi Chi Chi camp at Burning Man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had some of the greatest life experiences with people I have only just met, so whilst traveling I thought there was no better way to meet locals, and get to know both the cities and countries I'm in, but also a handful of wonderful people who will be the ultimate keepsakes of a trip around the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just started my couchsurfing journey. I love new experiences and meeting different people from all walks of life and the world and couchsurfing is the perfect way to do this. Once I have a semi-permanent t location I will definitely start hosting.

Interests

Food, eating it and cooking it. I love exploring farmers markets, and making a meal with and for friends, as well as dining out.

Music is one of the biggest parts of my life. I have made so many friends through connections in music. Performing, going to concerts, festivals and sharing new found music with friends as part of Wi Chi Chi (www.wichichi.com). It is something that brings people together, and crosses boarders of language, nationality and age.

I love to write, and publish a blog called Dripping Gold. What originally began as a noticeboard of sorts, has turned into a space I can comfortably share things I have written, images I have found and interesting things I have stumbled across. It is a collage, and is a very good representation of who I am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last new years eve 2014/2015, I helped plan an island get away for 120 of our friends.

We rented an island just near Sydney, only accessible by boat, and spent 5 days at the beach, with an amazing sound system with fantastic music, and with 120 friends, and friends of friends.

Come midnight we all stood around the bonfire dancing and welcoming in the new year together, and it is by far one of the most magical moments.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a very happy attitude and come with LOTS of stories. I am happy to cook meals, and would love to get to know you better over dinner. If anyone is in need of a bed when next visiting Sydney, I would be more than happy to host you!
