About Me

I am a senior at University of San Francisco, about to get my bachelor's in Biology and Neuroscience. My family is French (I have relatives in Paris) and as a consequence have done most of my overseas traveling in Europe and France in particular. I was raised in a family that values experiences over materialistic things with traveling being #1.
"Travel can be one of the most rewarding forms of introspection." -Lawrence Durrell

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard great things about Couchsurfing. I will admit, I am a bit of a skeptic. I do AirBnb for my apartment in San Francisco and have only ever traveled using hotels and BnBs but this time I am traveling with an old friend and we are trying to see as much as we can without spending in the similar vein; I thought I would give Couchsurfing a try.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Crime and Punishment, Running in the Family, Shadow in the Wind

Movies: Howl's Moving Castle, Road to Perdition, Gladiator, LOTR, Jason Bourne series

Shows: Attack on Titan, Stranger Things, TWD, NCIS, Grimm

Music: My taste is eclectic and I like obscure artists but I really just like anything with a good beat

Teach, Learn, Share

I have no clue what this section means. I guess I would say here that if I could have, I would have been an Anthropology major and that I strongly believe that we are all always students in everything - at least that that is the way we should live. From Anthropology, I learned the phrase deconstruct the familiar and learn from and build from the unfamiliar. I love going to places and meeting new people and particularly learning from new cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Oh goodness, this is like asking a person to list out who they are - as if words can do adequate justice for any dynamic human being. I don't know. I think we can all share with each other different perspectives, novel experiences, good conversation, teach each other something new, companionship.
