Hi I'm Charlotte I'm a former EVS volunteer living in Latvia at the moment, and I like traveling and exploring new places, I love and am very interested in languages and always try my best to speak different languages. I enjoy walking, and bike rides. I'm from the lake district in England so I enjoy nature, and really enjoy hiking and going on scenic walks 😊

I like the couch surfing philosophy, and I enjoy meeting new people from different countries and hearing about peoples stories and experiences! I have met some wonderful people on couch surfing, and am always happy to learn about other cultures and traditions :D

Interests

Art, I like to doodle and draw cartoons. Movies, if a storyline sparks my interest then I can spend hours debating and researching a movie and its themes. Natural health, I love to hear about old wives remedies for anything and everything. Sports: I enjoy sports, my favorites are tennis, badminton, hiking, cycling and hockey. And I love hearing funny stories from peoples lives and traveling of course!

Music, Movies, and Books

favorite movies: pans labyrinth, catch me if you can, anything historical, because I love seeing how they reconstruct buildings, costumes, everything! Also post-apocalyptic films are great too, I like to see different theory's and ideas. I love Vikings (the tv series) and orange is the new black. And documentaries, I spend most evenings searching for interesting documentaries to watch. I love movies and have seen a lot, and if anyone has any suggestions for good ones to watch I am always interested! I love getting lost in an interesting movie plot!
favorite book: memoirs of a geisha, the thirteenth tale, cell, the hunger games
music: anything and everything! But being English does mean that if you play me any songs by Queen I probably will start to sing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

scuba diving! it was fun, and I managed to take my camera with me, so I was proud I didn't drop it whilst we were down there :p
also completing my duke of Edinburgh award; as we had to hike a lot, and I got to climb some quite tricky rocks (for me as a first time rock climber ;) ) And of course hitchhiking; as every time is a adventure 😊
