Overview
About Me
I am an extroverted and optimistic individual travelling from Brooklyn, NY. I grew up in Hawaii and bring the spirit of the islands where ever I go. I absolutely adore the ocean but, unfortunately, I do not know how to surf. I love to paddle board, kayak, snorkel, and build sand castles though! I know what you're probably thinking, "why would you leave paradise?" Well, I am a theatrical lighting designer and NYC is definitely the place to be for me to create.
Even though I don't know how to surf waves, I am a tidy, clean, and thoughtful guest who loves art museums, parks, and cooking! Not to mention telling stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the possibilities that CS brings to travel. Staying with locals in different cities and communities allows me to visit the people who make up this world and share stories we might never hear otherwise. I look forward to the day that I will be able to host and bring the world to my own home!

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz, funk, disco, rock, indie, alternative, blues, classical, pretty much everything makes its way to my ears and into my heart.
I ADORE reading. Making my way through a few titles I should have read in school.
Current book: Lord Of The Flies.
Recently finished Animal Farm.
Some other favourites: The Red Tent by Anita Diamant; Just Kids by Patti Smith; Fun Home by Allison Bechdel; To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee; literally ~anything~ by Langston Hughs; Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen; The Hours by Micheal Cunningham; Woman At Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi; I could go on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I spent a week camping on a beach with friends. We explored a lava tube, swam with wild dolphins, went cliff jumping, and hiked to a natural water slide. I love being outdoors.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a crafty person who enjoys creating useful and meaningful items. I love to spend evenings collaging, painting, writing, and/or reading. Coming from theatre, I have basic carpentry and electrical skills and would love to help repair or improve something around your house! Also very interested in learning about different gardening methods and helping outdoors.
I share stories for a living and it is my passion, so if you want to talk about literature, movies, theatre, art, history, or really anything, I adore learning and exchanging knowledge!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share stories, laughs, artwork, crafts, or even exchange books with hosts!
