ABOUT ME

Hello,
We are an easygoing English couple currently living in Rome with a passion for travelling. We love it when we find hidden spots in a city that the lonely planet doesn't recommend!
I graduated in French and Spanish from the University of Leeds and then went to live in Lyon for a year teaching English in a university. I have also lived in Valencia, Spain, and have since been travelling around South America. When I got back to London started my own foreign language theatre company, and we put on a Molière play which we toured in schools. I have been teaching in London now for three years and my boyfriend is a tutor/writer. We have just moved to Italy to get away from the daily grind!

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's essential to be relaxed about other cultures and beliefs, to learn from each other and always be friendly to everyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big fan of the French classics, as well as decadent literature such as novels by Oscar Wilde, and have also read my fair share of South American classics - mainly Isabel Allende and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I enjoy all types of music, and have been listening to some tango thanks to my recent stay in Buenos Aires. Favourite film would probably be La Vita e Bella, makes me cry every time...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Valencia, Spain, for an erasmus year, had a fantastic time getting involved in las Fallas and travelling around. After university I lived in France, teaching English at a university and then volunteered in Argentina for 6 months. I have acted in Spanish and directed two plays, one in French with English students, and another in English with French students, as I enjoy helping others gain confidence when speaking foreign languages.
