About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life and all it offers with humor and curiosity....NOW I am planning a short trip to France.
Will spend a week in Paris...looking to meet a curious person and learn more about Paris, which I have visited before.

ABOUT ME
I am a curious, active person, and I have ALWAYS wanted to travel, and now I'm enjoying doing as much travelling as I can. I often do house swaps, but am really interested in meeting more people through Couchsurfing. I met some delightful people in my travels... and this are people I now consider friends!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an enthusiastic person, and cliche though it is, I do think the glass is "half full". I enjoy meeting new people and learning about them and their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In May 2014, I returned from ten months living in Europe(mostly France), but I am back in the Boston area, so I can meet people for coffee, lunch, or to tour the city. During that time I met at least nine couch surfers( for surfing or just meeting for lunch or touring), and each experience was unique and made my trip much more special!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I LOVE couch surfing! See my January 7, 2011, blog "And Then There is Couch Surfing!" at http://AtoZofVacationHomeExchange.blogspot.com

Couch surfers are generous and gracious people who have opened their homes to me!

Interests

Working out, pottery, travel, gardening, reading, swimming, spending time with friends and family, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read-mostly novels. I enjoy finding authors I've never heard of before and reading their books. I happened upon Nicholas DelBlanco's travel book about France and am enjoying his novels as well. I like most movies, but nothing violent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really love the wonders of nature...places like Macchu Picchu and Yosemite are pretty spectacular sights, for example. And, oh yes, I'm still amazed that I can get in an airplane and be in another continent in just hours!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a former English teacher, so it would be fun to learn new languages and share my knowledge of English. I speak some French, and very little Spanish and even less Italian.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love talking about our cultures and experiences to learn more about other countries.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Austria, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
