CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet and connect with locals whilst I am travelling/living in South America over the next few months. Keen to get to know cities and places through the eyes of those who live here and create lots of fun moments together! And practice Spanish :)

ABOUT ME

I'm twenty five years old and I have been travelling around South America since September; I'm doing this until July, where I will finish in Brazil just after the World Cup.

I left home, friends, and a job in London to come and do this by myself. I have been trying to learn spanish along the way, but I am bad, and I ask you not to judge me for my poor attempts to speak this language when we meet.. I'm hoping I can practice more by meeting people through couch surfing!

I'm friendly, silly, fun, weird, and looking to meet/connect with like minded people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh often, and hard! And if in doubt, say yes. Live for the moment, as I am trying to do whilst I travel :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very new to this and have never couch surfed or hosted people back home; however since travelling so many people I have met have been doing this and had really positive experiences. I would like to use this as a way to meet new people and enjoy a different style of travelling (away from hostels and dorms!) over the next few months.

Interests

Meeting and connecting with new people. Art, coffee, exploring, running, bars, restaurants, photography (I am a photo addict), my camera, trying new foods, lying out in the sun, drinking mate! Reading, cycling, walking, hiking...sometimes doing, quite blissfully, absolutely nothing.

Music, Movies, and Books

You'll mainly find electronica and deep house on my iPod. But the joy of travel is that I've discovered so much more music (and new artists) than I knew existed. So there's a lot of new stuff to add once I get home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One - quitting my job and getting on a plane to come travel and explore the South American continent with no clue and no plan!

But then, since being out here, I been blessed with some truly incredible experiences - hard to pick just one so in no order... Bolivian Salt Flats in the wet season. Machu Picchu. Torres del Paine and El Chalten in Patagonia. Lake Quilatoa Ecuador. Rafting down grade 5 rivers in Colombia. Santa Cruz trekking in Huaraz,
Peru.

And Iguazu falls is still to come!

I have fallen in love with photography but I don't have any expertise or qualifications here - somebody who understands photography and a Canon DSLR 600 and could teach me some new things would be great! In exchange I will produce beautiful photos for you :-)
