Hey everyone! My name is Charlotte. I'm Belgian, but moved to Wollongong almost two years ago to move in with my Australian boyfriend. We both love travel, culture and language, but outside of return trips to Belgium and exploring Australia, we're unfortunately not rich enough to see the world right now. All the more reason to bring the world to us! It would be an honour to meet, accomodate and show around any kind/curious souls around our "homecity" of Wollongong whenever we're available. I personally just enjoy going to the beach, snorkeling, hiking, having drinks, exchanging stories and culture and languages, and so on!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still relatively new to the whole couchsurfing thing, but the couple of experiences I've had staying at couchsurfer's places were all amazing so I think it's about time I got a bit more into it. My boyfriend and I love meeting new people and discovering new things and places, so please just come have fun with us! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't really think of "one amazing thing I've done". But here's a couple I really really liked:
- cycling around France for three weeks, spending only €150
- seeing a seal, a whale, sea turtles, a nurse shark and a ton of cool fish all in one snorkel session at Julian Rocks
- very unexpectedly seeing 15-20 Port Jackson sharks chilling at the bottom of the ocean in Huskisson
- climbing Ben Nevis on a freezing day, then warming back up in a pub with a crackling fire and a nice hot meal and drink
- petting keen stingrays at Bendalong beach
- seeing heaps of dolphins out of the boat of a nice Balinese guy on an otherwise secluded ocean

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Dutch and a bit of French, bake you crêpes, introduce you to the nicest (Belgian) spread you have ever tasted, show you around Wollongong and if time allows it more, take you snorkeling, ... If you're nice ;)
