ABOUT ME

Hmhm what to say about me.. I love meeting friends, talking or discussing whatever. I'm not really into sports, but i ride my bike a lot (good for your legs ánd the environment), preferably in the rain or at night. I also love to travel (obviously), usually without any schedule or plan. My favourite travels are the ones were you just see what happens, that's when you meet the most interesting people and go to the most beautiful places. It's not that i have a choice to do it differently, as i'm not very organized, i do everything last-minute anyway. I like hiking too, but my feet seem to disagree.. Fortunately, after hiking for a few days, i can't feel the pain anymore :).
I don't know what else to tell you accept maybe that i can eat a massive amount of cheese, i always say 'excuse me' when i sneeze and that i own seven scarves.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have a philosophy. I'm just trying to enjoy every day without thinking of the future too much. I also believe in karma to a certain point. Just the basic stuff though: if you do good things, good things will happen to you.

I give people the opportunity of sleeping on my old couch/bed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a few couches when travelling, but mostly couches of people we just met on the road. But through couchsurfing this becomes easier, so i'm really looking forward to a genuine couch-surfing vacation. Plus, this way i can offer my couch to fellow travellers. Great!

Interests

I enjoy a heated discussion, a muddy festival, playing games, eating chocolate, a good party, recognizing the soundtrack of some movie used elsewhere, having a good hairday, a thunderstorm, the sound of footsteps, solving a crossword puzzle, going to a museum and feeling very educated, the smell of rain, a hot cup of tea, an exciting adventure, listening to people's stories and thoughts, a nice view, actually realizing some crazy idea, and many many more things

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, I like! For example: radiohead, tv on the radio, devendra banhart, boards of canada, grizzly bear, animal collective, the knife, tame impala, flying lotus, the books, the microphones, beach house, yeasayer, elliott smith, yo la tengo, the velvet underground, pink floyd, frank zappa, jimi hendrix, jefferson airplane, .. .. ..

Movies, I watch! Recently liked: lost in translation, into the wild, the edukators, dancer in the dark, blue velvet, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, bin jip, das leben der anderen, 4 weeks 3 months 2 days, elephant, the assassination of jesse james, goodbye lenin, juno.. but my all time favourite filmmakers are the Coen brothers, Kubrick, Hitchcock, the brothers Dardenne and Almodóvar.

And I read lots of books, but it's too hard to pick just a few.. ask me if you're interested.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving a travel along the west coast of America without any luggage or tent. It appears you don't actually need them.
