About Me

Hey friends from travels,

My name is Charlotte and I am from France.
I discovered Couchsurfing three years ago when I moved to North Carolina USA to become an Au pair.
There I was taking care of two boys (4 and 9 yrs old) during the week and thanks to that job I traveled in a lot of places in America.

After a year living my best life in America I decided to move to Thailand to teach English in a primary school. Teaching 25 lovely Thai kids was such a blast and made me learn a lot about myself and others.
It is during this job that I met my boyfriend Garrett and now we are living in Spain.

Spain is where my dad's family is from. it's such an exciting adventure to come and live in this country that I don't know. We are currently living in Estepona where Garrett is studying. I am a Community Manager for an communication agency and I am also working for a real-estate company.

I am a kind person who loves to meet people and share beautiful experiences. To me, sharing little things is the best memories you can have during travel.
I practice sport a lot since my 4yrs old. when I was at my parents place I practiced in a club: tennis, Judo, swimming, handball, dancing. I used to dance for 20 years but now I practice running and fitness. During my travel, I try to practice sport as much as possible. I love hiking, running, play tennis, scubadiving (one of my FAV!), yoga, horse riding, rollerblading.... Well I love staying active.
One of my favorite things to do is hiking, reading, watching nature documentaries, Netflix (yeah, kinda addicted...), doing crosswords (I am a grandma sometimes), go out for a coffee/beer but more than anything sharing moments with people. just HAVE FUN !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing was to me the freedom when I lived in America.
At this time I wanted to meet people and see different things than just a hotel with guided tours.
That was the best things I did in my life. Thanks to Couchsurfing, I met wonderful people and I'm still in contact with some of them.
What a beautiful thing to be from two different countries but share the same meal.
Meet people and learn from them is the most beautiful thing which can happen during my trips.

I want to meet people to share my adventures and to hear about theirs. I want to see how humanity is beautiful and we can still trust in human beings.

Teach, Learn, Share

To me, the best things about living adventures with couchsurfers is teach, learn and share.
I don't know if I can say I have a lot to teach but I know I have a lot to learn and share.
I don't think we need specific skills to be a couchsurfer. The most important is to have a honest heart and a lot of kindness, feelings will do the rest. (gosh I'm a poet)
