Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love the idea of staying with locals which enables a greater experience with true knowledge of the area and culture. We would love to host people in our home towns again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nick has used couch surfing in Italy before and Charlotte in Catalonia. Together we were fortunate to find some great hosts in Canada that were very friendly and welcoming, showed us around their home towns, saw live music and played punk rock bingo!

Interests

Nicholas: I am a very hands on person so I enjoy fixing and/or making things, such as farming, building houses, or creating art. When I'm not doing that I like to read just about anything, cook good food, practice guitar and drums and socialise.

Charlotte: I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, photography, art, languages and reading. Like Nick, I love to laugh and make others laugh; as we believe it is very important to be happy! And, of course, I also enjoy a good cuppa (English tea).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nicholas: Making salami from scratch in an old farming village basement in the foothills of the Dolmite Mountains in Italy with a group of elderly men for 12 straight hours; in the dead of winter, whilst we enjoyed homemade wine and cheese and shared laughs.

Charlotte: Building and designing Cabanas in Mexico.
