ABOUT ME
The Grand Tale of Bryan and Charlotte: We are two fun-loving nature nerds who make our living taking kids on adventures in the redwood forest and teaching them all about plants, animals, and the environment. I hail from the lovely state of North Carolina and Bryan is a California native. We are embarking on a journey to bring my car from NC back to California and are stoked to have many exciting times along the way. I enjoy laughing, hiking, cute animals, local brews, spontaneous adventures and growing things. Bryan loves a good crossword puzzle, weird bugs, homemade jokes, campfires and playing any game. We are super laid back and pretty much up for anything!
PHILOSOPHY
Keep on dreamin' boy, cause when you stop dreamin' it's time to die. ~Blind Melon
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasure of hosting a few awesome couch surfers while living in Asheville. I did a bit of couch surfing on my first cross-country road trip from North Carolina out to California and met some lovely people. I have yet to meet anyone involved in couch surfing that is not interesting and friendly! This is Bryan's first experience with couch-surfing and he is excited to meet some local folks during our travels.
Interests
I love doing anything outside, especially hiking, gardening, rock climbing, kayaking, and backpacking. I enjoy cooking food, laughing alot, watching movies, exploring, and noticing the beauty in simple things.
Bryan is a huge fan of grilling, playing the guitar, doing crossword puzzles, fishing, and watching baseball.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Folly Beach, South Carolina a few summers ago and around midnight my friends and I went for a swim in the ocean. There were bioluminescent dinoflagellates in the water and everywhere we moved there was an explosive burst of light. It looked like a trail of fairy dust through the water everywhere we went. Absolutely magical!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a deep appreciation and respect for the natural world. I also like living communally and participating in a sharing environment. I want to learn from others' experiences as well as share my own. I think couch surfing is such an awesome opportunity to get an inside view of places when traveling.
