ABOUT ME

So here I'm supposed to write all about me ... I will try ;)
my name is Charlotte Saretzki and I life in the town Aachen in Germany, where I study medicine in the 3rd year.
I was born and raised in Remscheid, a small town with a lot of forests and fields around but also near Cologne and Düsseldorf. I have always loved to visit big cities as I enjoy the diversity and all the impressions you can get there by meeting totally different people, but I am also very keen about nature and before I moved to Aachen I spend a lot of time with my dog in the forest, which I now miss very much.
I knew very early that after school I would like to study medicine as I am totally fascinated by the human body, the complexity of its functions and the possibility to learn how to heal its diseases. As medicine is so multifaceted I try to get an overview about its different fields and during the semester breaks I work in different hospitals for short periods. Most of what I have seen there is very interesting, but since I spend 3 month on the orthopardy, I noticed that my special interest belongs to this field. I especially enjoyed to experience the great positive effects of orthopedical interventions on people's quality of life.
Spending a lot of time with my friends is also very important for me. I like going out for party as much as quieter evenings when we cook together and talk a lot. Other hobbies of mine are playing tennis and singing. But most of all I enjoy traveling around, which I try to do, whenever I can affort it. For me each time it is a great experience to learn something new about different people and cultures. During school time I have participated in a student exchange to New Zealand where I stayed with a host family. I appreciate the hospitality and affection of the people there. Together with my family and friends I visited many european countries, but I am eager to see more parts of the world.
All in all I think I am a very openminded, vivid and easy going person who is always interested in trying something new. If there is more you would like to know about me feel free to aks :)

Intereses

In my freetime I love meeting my friends to cook together and have a nice evening with much talking or I go out to party. I like doing sports in the nature and especially I like to sing. I try to travel around as much as I can because I love to discover new places and meet interesting persons.
