About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being happy while making people happy
ABOUT ME
Above all, I'm passionate. When I do something, I do it with all my heart! Some would say I'm kinda capricious, it may be true, but I love having plans and projects!!
I also think that giving is more important than receiving. The feeling you get when giving is worth everything! And that's great beacause... I AM generous!!!
PHILOSOPHY
That's not original, but I really have in mind that we only live once. Thus, I want to enjoy life at most and that means being happy and making people happy at all times.
I want to travel the world, meet lots of people to learn from them and share experiences.
To me, being born in France doesn't mean that I have to live all my life there...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to live my life while keeping in mind that we are all living on the same planet, which makes us citizens of the World.
I've only hosted once for now but it was a great experience and I can't wait 'til the next one!
And when I can't host, I often offer to Couch Surfers visiting Paris to meet, to have a drink or even a concert... I love Paris and I like to show new visitors the places I love and give them another view on Paris...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm still a new CS member. But I've already had very enriching experiences.
I first met Angela, from Singapore, when she came to Paris. She was accomodated by Brice, who was living in Paris.
Angela had contacted me because she is a rock music fan and I played rock. So we all met in Paris that night to enjoy a gig. I came with my brothers and we all spoke English together.
It was a really good night.
The next day, Brice was organizing a CS night at his place where everyone brought something to eat.And I joined them with a friend of mine.
Another great night during which we met lots of couchsurfers.
The next time Angela came to Paris, she stayed at my place for 5 days and we enjoyed movies, dinners, restaurants and visits of Paris.
I'm now eager to live other CS experiences!
Interests
As I said before, I'm passionate! I don't like things, I LOVE them!
I can't imagine my life without traveling, discovering new people, new places, and exchanging...
When I don't travel, and have no plans of traveling, I feel something's missing...
I also love movies: I love going to the cinema but also love writing screenplays (short ones).
I couldn't live without music either. I used to play drums in a band with my brothers and I can tell you the stage is highly addictive!!!
In a word: I LOVE LIFE!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to say I can't choose ONE movie among the others to make it my "favourite movie". But I finally chose one to be able to answer that question. And that would be VANILLA SKY, by Cameron Crowe. The story's great and original (I didn't like ABRE LOS OJOS that much...), the actors are fantastic, the score is enchanting...
When I was a child, my father made me and my brothers listen to lots of great bands (especially on the weekends) which made me like good music (Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Beatles, Peter Gabriel but also Youssou N'Dour, Ismaël Lo, Khaled...).
Later, we founded a band named ODYSSEY (inspired by Muse, Coldplay or Radiohead), released an EP and played more than 30 concerts in 3 years around Paris. A great experience that I miss now...
I also love to discover new bands thanks to acquaintances' suggestions. This way I discovered Muse, Archive, The Temper Trap, Sigur Ros... and many others!
Books are like music to me... Except for the books I had to read at school (Zola, Balzac, Molière...), I discovered most of them through suggestions, again.
My favourite books would be THE ALCHEMIST (Paulo Coelho), THE MASTER OF BALLANTRAE (Robert Louis Stevenson), THE CELESTINE PROPHECY (James Redfield), LE COLONEL CHABERT (Honoré De Balzac).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the moments in my life that left me awestruck was in Morocco, in Casablanca. I've been more than 10 times to Morocco. I love this country and its people. And that day, I had the chance to attend a moment of prayer during Ramadan. It was at the Great Mosque Hassan II. I saw hundreds of people praying, bowing to the ground in the same time with such devotion. But what stroke me most, was hearing them crying when listening to the Imam reading verses from the Koran. I could understand nothing, but these people crying really touched me... even though I am not religious at all !
Teach, Learn, Share
Meeting is sharing...
I can teach drums, cooking, writing...
I would love to learn new languages, new cultures, new cuisines, new philosophies...
And I just want to share with others...
What I Can Share with Hosts
My friend and I have founded an art projects association named DIRECTOR'S CAT. We support artistic projects in France and we love that because we never stop meeting amazing people !
Among other things, we have founded and organized a Shortfilm Festival called Le Festival de Films Courts de Maisons-Laffitte.
I am an English teacher in BTS (HND) but I am also a shortfilm writer and director.
I've written, directed (and edited because I love that too) my first shortfilm in 2015 : Johnny And The Cash.
I would love to share my passion for cinema and art with you !
