I am in Palermo right now living for three months as part of a residency programme. Me and two friends are doing an ethnographic research project on migrant women in Palermo. I am always open to meet new people and learn about Sicilian culture, some words of Italian, get to know new places for having food, drinks, coffee or just a good chat.

ABOUT ME

Hey, I am Charly, a easy going, kind person, with a general positive attitude, caring, sociable. I love travelling, see new places and learn new things.
Normally I live in Leipzig/Lipsia, in Germany, being a student of Cultural Studies. I am about to finish my Master degree (finally) and will then, eventually, travel a bit before, eventually, settleing for a longer time. But who knows, life is crazy and one can never know what tomorrow brings.
People would call me latinophil because i love Latinamerica! I have lived for one year in la Patagonia, Argentina and another year in beautiful Granada, Nicaragua, too. I made another Latin-American experience, a 10 months university exchange in Fortlaeza, Brazil.
Also I spent half a year in Barcelona, Spain.
All of those journeys, times which changed me and my way to see the world starkly, I got to know loooots of beautiful people which I am proud to call my friends now. I learned to live in a whole different surrounding, speaking a different language, doing different things...
But actually I love the whole world with its richness of cultures landscapes faces and stories. Would like to see and get to know all of it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted quite a lot some years ago. In the last years I travelled more than I hosted. I love the reciprocy system in Couchsurfing and would recommend it to everyone! I got to meet so many beautiful places and people, its just an amazing way of travelling for me. Never had a bad expericence. Viva Couchsurfing!

Teach: German, Spanisch, Portuguese, do a headstand.
Would like to learn: Italia, Samba / Forró / Capoeira. Play the guitar.
Thats lots of different stuff, i know..
maybe somebody knows some of it and can teach me a liitle bit? :)

I can cook, clean the kitchen, make you laugh, read you a nice story, drink beer, discuss world politics, show nice travelpictures ... well. this. and lots of more stuff!
