About Me

Short description:

I am usually cool. And funny. But more like always.

.. if you stil think this is not enough information about me, here my longer version :D

Heyo, my name is Charly, i am an energetic and outgoing person. I enjoy doing many things and i also just generally enjoy doing things, being out and about, being social, meeting friends, doing sports, eating, sleeping, you know the usual stuff, and because i just cant decide on what i want to be doing with my time i tend to overpack my schedule because i just want to do it all :D
After graduating from high school i lived abroad for 3 years and at the time wasnt aware yet that this was mostly due to the lucky coincidence of having been born in the right country, gifting me with the second most valuable passport in the world. It wasnt until i lived abroad again, this time in the global south, that i became to understand a tiny fraction better of what it means to be privileged. Since then, my way of thinking and therby my way of travelling has changed a lot. I havent used Couchsurfing in years and just now that i am reactivating my account i am adapting my profile to this more aware person of myself that i would like to think i am now.

I am a spontanoues, outgoing, loud, human being, i communicate in a very direct manner which sometimes throws off people, i like to discuss and engage in topics, i am politically interested an engaged and interested in the topics of feminism, colonialism, climate change and activism, i enjoy reading, climbing, cinema, languages, cultures, love learning as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Always had a blast and also ridulous luck traveling. SO many stories that seem unreal and just seem off, because the chances of this happening are crazy.
- Once i couchsurfed in Melbourne and my host literally met me for 2 min and gave me the keys to her house leaving for the weekend. So much appreciation!

- hitchhiking a ride of 22 hours, after waiting for 5 min, first person takes me 16 hours and invites me to stay with them

- trying to hitchhike in spain (hardest thing i ever tried :() and starting to dance on the highway entrance after nobody picked us up after standing in the midday sun for 5 hours (then being picked up!!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Love learning, there will always be more to learn and i never want to stop learning! Learning from people and by meeting people is so fascinating, how different people are and why people think the way they do.

What I Can Share with Hosts
