About Me
CURRENT MISSION
always learn, experience, and enjoy...
ABOUT ME
I love nature, hiking through forests, trekking mountains, swiming, free camping, etc.
I am quite versatile, as I also enjoy having some drinks in a pub, bar, or just chatting and sharing a good wine at home or anywhere.
I'm interested in learning about everything.
While living in Argentina I always tried to travel as much as I could, at first through Argentina but then also to neighbouring countries.
At the age of 22 I moved to Spain, where I stayed to finish my university degree. I lived in Valencia, Madrid and Catalonia for about 7 years, in which I've been travelling across western and eastern Europe, including far east Russia, Siberia, etc.
Then I decided to quit my job, gave away almost all my personal belongings, and started a nomad life travelling in a VW van (equipped as a mini-pseudo-motorhome), from Spain to Central Asia, along secondary roads, stopping mainly in rural areas and small towns, treking and climbing, visiting industrial sites, etc. After coming and going between Central Asia, Caucasus, and Europe, I decided to stay working in Kazakhstan for a couple of years as railroad manufacturing engineer.
Finally moved back to Spain and, after some months wodering arround I established myself in Madrid, and start working again (still in the rail sector)...
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy life, learn, be kind, and have fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am interested in meeting all kind of people arround the world, to learn about everything (general knowledge, their culture, different ways to understand life, languages, etc), share experiences, build friendship, aiming to biuld a community of people willing to live in a better place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only a few couchsurfing experiences. First one, I hosted two Czechs when I was living in Spain, we had a very very nice and interesting time, trekking, cooking, talking... Later, in Constanta (Romania) it was the first and only time I couchsurfed, excellent experience. I didn't use CS as much as I would like while travelling, maybe because I considered more authentic to meet spontaneously with ordinary people while I was in cities, suburbs, towns, or even in rural areas or in the wild. Besides, usually I dont't have any scheduled plans, I impovise, so I assume that it would be complicated to coordinate with other people...
Interests
Travelling! As I wrote before: hiking through forests, trekking and climbing mountains (not profesional), swiming lakes, rivers and in the sea, free camping on the nature...
Meeting people.
Watching films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Expedition with 5 other friends to somewhere in southern Patagonia, living in the "middle of nowhere" for several weeks, returning to the essence of life. This marked me to keep on doing this whenever I can...
Another nice thing I did that marked me was the Moskva-Irkutsk-Vladivostok-Kamchatka trip, where I met amazing people, and beatiful landscape that really marked me and encouraged me to keep on travelling.
Then I've been living as a nomad in an old VW van for 3 years arround eastern Europe Caucasus and central Asia (without any fixed plan or schedule, sometimes in urban places, sometimes in suburbs, but mostly in the nature... sometimes even visiting factories) it was a wired experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
As industrial engineer, I can teach about general science, mainly physiscs, electromechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics, hydraulics, and similar issues of industry (expert in cement production and railroad industries!).
I'm also interested in philosophy, education, society and state issues, languages, cultural traditions, etc...
