About Me
Namaste! 🙏🏻
I'm Charvi, a Delhi native with a deep appreciation for India's rich history and culture.
With a master's degree in psychology, 👩🎓I'm on a lifelong quest to uncover the fascinating stories that make us who we are.
When I'm not exploring the human mind, I'm exploring the world of cinema and relishing the art of conversation over a steaming cup of coffee. ☕️
Dancing is my heartbeat, and I find my muse in art galleries or when I'm painting and drawing. 💃
I thrive on learning new skills, so you might find me in a pottery class one day🏺, trying my hand at painting the next🎨, or even giving pole dancing a whirl!
I'm a kind, easygoing soul who embraces new experiences and treasures the local perspective when traveling. I'm seeking authentic connections with individuals who are eager to show me around, share their favorite spots, and make every journey an unforgettable adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on a mission to meet amazing folks from all corners of the globe and learn about their unique quirks and cultures, and this platform is my trusty spaceship on this intergalactic adventure.
Couchsurfing help connect with locals, discovering the hidden treasures of each place and living life like a true, albeit temporary, native.
So, here I am, in the cosmic quest to request a spot on your couch, share stories, and swap snacks. 🛋️
I'm all about creating moments that belong in the 'Unusual and Awesome category of life experiences!😃
Interests
I'm on a mission to collect stories from all walks of life - whether it's a tale that makes you laugh until your sides hurt or one that tugs at your heartstrings.
On lazy days, you'll find me strolling around with friends, soaking up the world's wonders one step at a time. And when the mood strikes, it's time to hit the town for some epic bar hopping - because who doesn't love a good dance-off?
Speaking of dancing, I'm always up for it! Whether it's spontaneous kitchen dance parties or hitting the dance floor like nobody's watching, I'm your go-to dance partner.
But wait, there's more! I'm a movie marathon master, and I'II binge-watch anything from superhero sagas to
heartwarming rom-coms.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎶 I'm a music enthusiast with an ever-evolving playlist that spans from the latest peppy commercial hits that'll get you dancing, to timeless tunes by legends like Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Adele, Charlie Puth, Queen, Marvin Gaye, and many more. 🎤But, I have a special place in my heart for the classics, from the soulful melodies of Amy Winehouse to the rock 'n' roll vibes of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. And don't even get me started on my undying love for the smooth sounds of Louis Armstrong and the enchanting voice of Ella Fitzgerald. Rhythm and blues run through my veins! 🎧
📚 When it comes to books, I'm an emotional reader. 'My Sister's Keeper' had me bawling, 'Pride and Prejudice' swept me off my feet, and 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' left a lasting impact on my soul.
🎬 Movies are my escape from reality, but you won't catch me watching horror films. I'm all about animated movies that teach valuable lessons, like Wreck-It Ralph, Wall-E,' and 'Cars.!" Rom-coms are my guilty pleasure, especially anything starring Anne Hathaway or Julia Roberts, and timeless classics like Before Sunrise, Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, 'The Holiday, One day.
📺 Television series? 'Modern Family' is my all-time favorite for its endless humor and heartwarming moments. Lately, 'The Bear' has also captured my attention, along with 'The Good Doctor' starring Freddie Highmore, 'Fleabag, and the quirky charm of 'Schitt's Creek.!
🎭 And when it's time for a good laugh, I turn to stand-up comedians like Matt Rife, Hannah Gadsby, John Mulaney, and Vir Das.
So, whether you want to groove to some tunes, dive into a good book, have a movie night, binge-watch a TV series, or share a few laughs, let's connect and make some unforgettable memories together!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
🏔️Conquered the 13,000+ ft altitude trek of MuktaTaal in just a week, living in the wild, pitching our own tents, witnessing the most amazing sunsets alongside a group of adventurous strangers.🌅
🏔️Embarked on a mesmerising snow trek, reaching an altitude of around 12,000 ft in a week. Experienced a cinematic moment at sunrise as the world transformed into a Narina- like wonderland with fresh, pristine snow.☃️
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm all about the spirit of sharing, teaching, and learning.
I can teach you the art of cooking delicious Indian dishes 🍲, the magic of making chai, the rhythms of traditional Indian dance, delve into fascinating discussions about psychology, and even craft an origami box together.
But it doesn't stop there--I'm an eager learner too! I'm all ears for stories about various cultures and their rich histories, the secrets of your favorite foods, the beauty of languages, and your incredible travel adventures that have left you with tales to tell.
And when it comes to sharing, I'm more than happy to whip up some authentic Indian recipes for you, cook a delightful meal, spend quality time together, and offer whatever knowledge or support you may need. Consider me your friend, a willing listener, and a companion for your journey.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Oh, the real question is, what can't I share with my fantastic Couchsurfing hosts?
☕️ I've got a few tricks up my sleeve, starting with brewing some seriously amazing coffee that'll put a smile on your face.
🙋🏻♀️ Need a chat buddy? I'm your person! We can dive into conversations about life, travel, and everything in between.
🍱 And when it comes to food, let's embark on a culinary adventure with a mouthwatering Indian meal. I'll introduce you to the flavors of my culture, and who knows, Bollywood might make an appearance with some epic dance steps and Hindi songs!
But beyond all of that, I'm here to open up the vibrant world of Indian culture to you, share tales of ancient Hindu kingdoms from the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics, and, most importantly, be the friend you haven't met yet.
