Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in southern California and live in Cuffley, UK (about 45 minutes north of central London).
Why, oh why, is traveling so addictive??? I simply LOVE IT! I have traveled to 42 countries, have lived in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, London and Trinidad & Tobago.
I am all about meeting new people and uncovering new things! Because of this love, I make documentaries as there are many stories to explore (Xplore the World).
There are ups and downs in life. What matters is that you learn from the downsides and live another day to experience the good parts. There is no positive without negative and no good without bad. Realize this balance and, no, life will not be easy, but it will make sense.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was told about CS by my friend, who raved about the cool people he met while traveling. I decided to become a CS host and then a surfer. Both experiences have been rewarding!
I hope to continue to look forward to enriching myself with difference cultural experiences through talking to people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't consider this amazing, but my sister and I were involved in a gang shoot-out in a mall in Robina, Queensland, Australia! This is sooo ridiculous, because I lived in Los Angeles for 4 years [everyone says how dangerous this city is] and nothing like this every happened to me! But look at this: I go to the suburbs in Queensland and I'm under attack?! THE IRONY!
It was so scary, because my sister and I were separated. As soon as the first gun shot was fired, everyone got on the floor while I was running to find my sister! It took us 10 minutes to get reunited!
Luckily, no one was killed (a gang member and an innocent bystander were shot, but they were both ok).
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always said that I would like to teach a class entitled "Common Courtesy 101". By spending time in many countries and living in three, I feel that though we may speak different languages and have different cultures, human beings are simply human beings: we want to be heard, respected, and understood. We need food and water to survive. We will be ok if we have shelter and clothing. I feel that I can share those basic values with examples.
