ABOUT ME
Stories, facts, unique positions, beliefs, religions, and lore... I like to learn about random things. I am a Teach For America alum, working (for free) with a startup out of Atlanta on nonprofit fundraising. I recently married my uber tall electrician husband. I like working with adolescents and puppies. I volunteer with a dog rescue and a homeless shelter. I love fleece and fall weather. I believe that food tastes better from a stand, marshmallows and hot chocolate are soul mates, and everyone has a story I should hear.
PHILOSOPHY
Connect. Experience. Learn. Get out!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm an avid traveler looking to learn about new cities and unique nonprofit projects around the country. I am interested in meeting new people for coffee, and can sometimes offer a couch on a last minute basis to those who don't mind big dogs.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm the kind of person who spends hours volunteering at a homeless shelter absorbing story after story and who dreams of sitting with random single diners just to hear their stories. Two of my best friends love CouchSurfing, and I hear it is right up my alley. I am excited to take the leap and get involved.
Interests
Volunteering, being a tourist, and learning new ways to do things. I enjoy sharing other people's passions, singing in the shower, and trying not to trip everywhere I go.

Music, Movies, and Books
<>.
I love documentaries... and indie films. My current favorite documentary is The Pruitt Igoe Myth about the first large scale housing project in the country, and its colossal failure... all in St. Louis. To those who don't know STL, there is a huge random forest fenced in right in smack in downtown St. Louis that no one ever talks about... that forest was once the largest housing project in the world. Millions spent, but the elevators only stopped on every other third floor. The consequences of a culture of disrespect were shocking and can be felt in dark corners of every street in St. Louis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Touring Europe was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pro at differentiation (teaching skill) and I can edit like a professor. My husband is incredibly mechanically minded and can do a little bit of everything around the house/farm. I want to learn about NPO start ups - getting a chance to help out at a volunteer event is always wonderful!
