I quit my soul sucking job in 2017, and a few months later fate handed me a life threatening hip infection which led to painful arthritis. After seeing for myself how short life can be, I took out on a 6-month spiritual journey to find purpose amidst suffering, and so far its given me a reason to move forward.

Probably the most important thing I’ve done is save a man’s life. I was in the passenger seat of a car on a mountain road and I saw his truck going slowly in the opposite direction. The silhouette of his head resting on the steering wheel and his truck veering to the wrong side of the road signaled to me something wasn’t right. I told my driver to stop, jumped out of my car and, while running to keep pace with the truck, opened his door to find him having a stroke. I reached in with one foot and slammed the breaks about 30 feet from a cliff.
