I'm from Louisiana and have returned to school after a tour in the Coast Guard. If I piece together the most memorable moments of my life, they all seem to revolve around good friends and good travels. Hence what brings me here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for a few couches to lay my head on the occasional travel, and the kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze me. I've couch surfed and hosted a few times, all perfect experiences.

Interests

Anything that makes me think or makes me thankful. I'm an outdoor's person and often fantasize about having a tiny house on some small patch of somewhere. Currently I'm getting a degree in mechanical engineering and am really enjoying the challenge.

Probably my favorite thing is meeting someone who see's the world differently than I do… It's like hearing your favorite song for the first time all over again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read, non-fiction mostly... Books about average people doing amazing things are my style.

I'm not one of those people who will say that they like all music... I tried to be that person once, it just didn't work out. I do, however, like a wide variety. Bon Iver, Johnny Cash, Ben Howard, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Kings of Leon, Ray Lamontagne, Zac Brown Band, Laura Marling, David Gray, Damien Rice, JJ Grey and Mofro, Mumford and Sons, Paolo Nutini, Lake Street Dive, Alabama, Alabama Shakes, Cold Speks, to name a few...

As for movies… That John Travolta movie where the meteor gives him special powers. Yea, that's my jam.
