About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving into my apt on June. 12th - need a place until then..

ABOUT ME

Hi - I grew up in Norway and went to the US for college on a soccer scholarship. Did freshman year in WV and finished at Rutgers in NJ in 2003. Started working at Merrill Lynch and then UBS, both in New York. In 2008 I took at job at a real estate firm in London, but quit in May 2009. In 2006, I formed a company that I bought some properties in NJ with, and that I am now working full time for. I just moved back to NYC and currently living with friends. I am moving into my own apartment on the 5th of November, but there will be a few days for which I wont have a place, and was hoping that someone nice would host me..

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short and try to make the most of every day..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no prior experience as I just signed up for this..

Interests

I have played soccer since I was 15 inches tall, like most sports, have played golf and tennis. Used to scuba dive. Like to give my head a rest sometimes with a movie or a good book. Like to meet new people and fancy striking up conversations with strangers. Have been working in real estate the last few years and find that a good way to live. Like chatting and once started writing a book about things in life that occupied my mind..

Music, Movies, and Books

Very much like independent movies. Saw one of the most wonderful movies I think i ever have seen a few months ago called let the right one in.. music: actually got trapped by VH1's top 100 songs of the 80's yesterday.. such awesome music.. If I had to choose a group it might be portieshead or alice in chains.. for books i like books that i can learn stuff from - rarely read novels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure I have done anything super-great.. but I left my friends and family in Norway to go to school in the US back in 1999. I didnt speak english, knew no-one and had never been to the US. It was a pretty crazy thing to do and it was fun..

Teach, Learn, Share

What do I really know..? hmm.. I work in real estate and have been working with it for several years.. but it isnt necessarily the most interesting topic to talk about. I once started writing a book about things that interested me, mainly the big questions in life.. that is something I enjoy talking about and exploring and I have my views on these questions, but still no answers..
