Hello! My name is Chassety, I am 25 from Houston, Texas in the USA!

My love for travel began in 2019 when I studied abroad in Argentina, Spain, and Italy! I recently graduated with my Masters in Natural Resource Management and decided to travel around Europe postgrad! After traveling around Europe I am planning to do a 3 month trip beginning in Argentina and heading north :)

I love watching and playing sports! I grew up playing several sports, but my favorite is softball! I played softball for 15 years and played it in University. I also love animals and have two dogs and a cat at home, so always happy to stay somewhere that has animals!

I am a native English speaker and am learning Spanish, I am currently conversational in Spanish :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Couch surfing was recommended to me by one of my blabla car drivers and it sounded like it would be a great way to meet people while I’m traveling! One of my favorite things about traveling is getting to learn about other cultures around the world, and Couchsurfing is a great way to experience other cultures and make connections with people!

Interessen

I think some of my top interests would be thrifting, sports and food.

I’m passionate about thrifting and love finding unique clothing thats one of a kind. I love when I can piece together a fully thrifted outfit! I think thrifting is great because I reduce my contribution to fast fashion, thus helping to reduce my carbon footprint.

I grew up playing a diversity of sports and enjoying watching them! I enjoy going to sporting events and watching / playing different sports!

I also enjoy trying different foods and trying new recipes! While traveling I have enjoyed trying foods from around the world!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Don’t think I have the best taste in music, but I enjoy Indie and Pop music! I listen to other genres too but I’m honestly really bad at knowing artists names/their work. But I used to play the flute and oboe and enjoy listening to classical music :)

I really enjoy watching Disney and Marvel movies! My preferred movie genre is action or romcoms but I don’t really enjoy watching horror, but can do thrillers.

I haven’t been big into reading much but am always open to recommendations :)

I would really love to learn about other people’s cultures from the way of life, different beliefs, food, etc.! There is always so much to learn and I want to learn about the places I’m visiting.

I also really enjoy getting sharing travel stories and hearing about what other people have learned along their journeys!
