About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work hard and Play hard

ABOUT ME

A global nomad. Made in the Mainland China, Manufactured in Hong Kong, undergone quality control around the world.

I love traveling. Despite not from affluent background, I am fortunate enough to have set my foot in Ghana Africa, Eastern Europe, Papua New Guinea and lived in Mexico for half a year.

I guess traveling is a way to tell how things we cling on so dearly while they can be so alienated on the other soil. At the same time, how close we are compared to how distinctively different we may look outwardly.

When it comes to traveling, I love strolling around streets, simply by observing how locals interact with each other, you read stories. It feels good to immerse in the local culture.

I love eating street food and I have an amazing stomach that shields me from any food-related discomfort. :D

I have a really bad sense of direction that even I trod the same route for few times, I can still manage to get lost. Needless to mention that, I can drag a supposedly five-minute journey into 2-hour one. :P

I like writing and reading, telling stories is a way to make one's existence felt, it is extremely rewarding when the readers respond how much they have been touched/ inspired by the stories you have written.

In order to share my traveling experiences to a wider audience, I have created a facebook page:

PHILOSOPHY

Live as the flow goes.
Life is about people.
Expect the unexpected. Spontaneity concludes everything :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was having semester exchange in Mexico, a group of Czechs introduced CS to me. I tried it during my one-month backpacking in Mexico. I absolutely fell for it.

And I also like to meet travellers around the world, even a coffee, a small talk will broaden my perspective.

The communities in different CS locations also help bring like-minded people together.

It's a wonderful platform.

P.S It is not platform for *Romance* or *Fling* with strangers. Please don't exploit it

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At first, I Tried to surf during my one-month traveling in the south of Mexico and on my way from Mexico to the US.

I was overwhelmed by the hospitality that couch hosts have, amazed by the local cultures and personal stories that open to me.

At the very first taste of couch surfing was traveling in Puebla.

I was amazed by how eager local people are to meet new friends, offering help/ guidance for visitors. Despite my two-day stay, I have received quite number of couching/ coffee invitations.

In Zipolite, Oaxaca. A canadian couple hosted me and my friend. They made excellent meals, and extremely warm and caring. They open their heart to us.

They let us to stay in their wonderful thatched house upstairs with breath-taking sea views.

In San Cristobal, Chiapas, we surfed in an ambassador's home in San Cristobal, CS project. It turned out to be a great stay. we not only get to know their life stories, but also get to know Mexican culture in depth.

Since then, CS has been my best travel companion. At home, I have been to places far without going anywhere.

When traveling, it not only opens up local context and history to me, but also takes me to anther perspectives that I would haven't been able to see with guidebooks at hand.
