About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm out to make new friends and see new places

ABOUT ME

I'm a tall Hispanic man from Washington State in the USA. I love getting to know new people, trying new things, and having great conversations. I like to stay active outdoors. I enjoy fishing, sailing, swimming, jogging, and rock climbing. Languages are fascinating to me. I am currently trying to learn French!

I love to read and some of my favorite books are by Victor Hugo and Andres Dumas. I also really enjoy anything by JRR Tolkein. I'm interested in reading philosophy and theology as well!

When I travel I'm always looking to make new friends. Great photos at the "must see" places are nice, but having a friend in a city makes the best memories. I really enjoy learning about different sorts of people, trying new food and drinks, and hearing new ideas.

As a guest I am tidy, polite, and friendly. Getting to know the people with whom I am staying is a priority and I always clean up after myself! As a host I want to show people around the city I live in and show them the things I love about it.

I loved visiting Paris, Marseilles, Edinburgh, Grenada, Sevilla, and Barcelona. Such lovely cities and people!

Ask me anything else that you'd like to know! I'm an open book!

PHILOSOPHY

"It is nothing to die; it is frightful not to live."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've made great friends in life. I don't know that there are much better things to accomplish.

Otherwise, I learned how to surf once. That was pretty fun :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a decent amount about Spanish grammar and am willing to share, I can tie a vast quantity of knots, I know how to make an amazing fried-egg sandwich (you will need an avocado, some form of salsa, and cheese), I have funny stories about getting sick in Central America that I can tell.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, United States
