Overview
About Me
I am Kar Yoong! Young Malaysian, Finance Graduate, used to work as a Corporate Finance Analsyst but now as a Real Estate Negotiator. I enjoyed travelling a lot as the journey inspires me to always stay humble and gives me a lot of idea and life answers. I am also an all-time coffee home brewer, used to work as a professional barista for years during my student time, that's also the job i enjoyed very much in the past time.
I love doing sports, usually hiking, diving, swimming and running. I'm an also a freelance tour leader, mainly organizing trips and tour to Malaysia's highest mountain - Mount Kinabalu, Indonesia’a volcano - Mount Rinjani, and many more soon.
I believe courchsurfing is the only way to really understand a local culture, and that’s the purpose of travelling rather than dropping by tourists spots and only snap pictures. Hope to exchange more experiences from you guys!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This idea comes after my trip to Sawarak (North Borneo). A friend of mine has a Ibanese friend who has invited us to go back to his hometown to celebrate Hari Gawai, which was a really great experience and unforgettable trip. We made friends and learnt a lot from their culture, and that's why I'm here.
