HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I don't have a couch to share, but I hope to one day host many backpacking teenagers/young adults...hopefully they will keep me young. :P

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have spent a couple lovely weekends crashing on people's couches.

兴趣

I'm a huge jock. Every few years, I find a new sport and it becomes my obsession. Right now, my life revolves around Roller Derby (yes, its back! with a vengeance!). I've also played rugby at a competitive level for over 8 years, played ice hockey since I could walk and have tried every other sport at least once.

I love anything 1920s- jazz, flapper, smoky dark cafes.

I'm on a French cinema kick. I love the the gritty, kinky, extreme films that came out of the sexual revolution.

This may not sound particularly thrilling but last winter, I got up at 5:30 am four Saturdays in a row for 7 am hockey practices. It was freezing out and it was still dark but stepping onto that ice before most of the world is awake made me feel extremely Canadian!

Things that I can share...um..I can definitely teach anyone how to skate or throw a rugby ball.

I love talking about differences in culture and have been around a multitude of different ones.
