About Me
-- Only able to host females!! It's a separate living room but my bf is a very jealous man :D hang outs are welcome --
Hello! My name is Nadja, I'm from Indonesia and I really love meeting new people from all around the world. Currently I'm writing my thesis and would love to make more friends from all over the place!
If you think RAD isn't my last name, it kinda is, it's like really rad initials!! xD
What else...I'm usually very talkative but don't worry, I know how to pause ;) I like to share stories about my travel, or how much I love cooking (which usually ends up in me saying, WE SHOULD DO A MEAL TOGETHER), and I can also be a good listener! ;)
I aim to be a 'bridge' between two or more different cultures or people, that's why I have a degree in International Relations and now pursuing an M.A. in social relations :) I love to connect with as many people from different backgrounds as possible! I think it's really wonderful to be able to express and help people understand each other better.
Anything else, let's find out when we meet ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's interesting to travel to new places and meet wonderful hosts! It's really fun to listen to people's stories about their experiences, in life and in general. It's also really awesome to find out that people from different cultural backgrounds can be so similar in some ways! We're all humans after all :)

Music, Movies, and Books
music = contemporary pop, jazz, classical, you name it. I just can't stand heavy metal and the likes.
Books = non-fictions I read for work/study, as well as fictions. As well as some self-help books like The Secret, The Power, The Magic, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. I also really liked reading Robert Kiyosaki's works, such as Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Cashflow Quadrant.
Films...I don't have a preference. I usually just watch random stuff on Netflix while eating.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yeah no. Can't choose one. So here ya go:
- Traveled quite a lot for an Indonesian my age
- Apparently jumping into the river from a 8m cliff was cool
- Traveled for a month and stayed 3 days tops in one place, befriended so many locals and received awesome stuff like free lobster ;)
- My "9-Monate Deutsch" was apparently good enough to make Germans go, "ECHT?? 0_0 als ich 9 Monate alt war, könnte gar nicht sprechen"
- Pretty much moved halfway across the world and still surviving with new friends and new things to learn everyday ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you improve your English! I work as an English teacher for adults and so far my native friends tell me I speak very well :) I can also cook some tasty Indonesian dishes for/with you!
If you're interested in learning yoga, I received a training as an instructor. So we can see if it works.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food! And definitely good mood. I like to share travel stories and pictures. I sing and play guitar pretty well, we could do that :)
Or we can also engage in a deep conversation about almost anything. I love to learn new perspectives and views.
