ABOUT ME

I am an easy going person, both by myself and with others. I feel that I can interact with people of all varieties and enjoy the challenge of meeting people that differ from myself. I like to question social norms, getting people to question the world they live in. I'm a pretty big geek. Exposed to video games, collectible card games, science fiction, anime, the works, but I am open to all kinds of interests that are mainstream and not so mainstream as well. I stay pretty fit with my bicycling and dancing. Mostly I like to surround myself with interesting people and listen to their stories and share my own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to couch surf as part of travel for dance events. Willing to host, on a limited basis, one person at a time. I share a small apartment with two female roommates.

Travelled for dance weekends and shared crash space for other people to attend dance weekend.

Interests

Given the opportunity I will DANCE. Whether it be at a club, in my house, or out on the street. I love movement and interacting with other's movement. I also enjoy video games, cycling, new/complex board games, and all sorts of geeky things.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts! Primarily have read fiction and fantasy. Enjoy music I can move to, but have pretty eclectic tastes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to China on a college diplomatic mission, visited England twice to visit my mum and step dad, visited Syria for a summer with some local people I knew, and all sorts of other experiences that, when prodded I will remember, like pinata candy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to dance! I know the standard ballroom dances pretty well (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep Viennese Waltz) but I am versed in latin dances as well (Cha cha, Rumba, Swing, Salsa, Jive). If you like folk dancing I can show you a thing or two. I have danced blues for the past two years and am well versed in swing as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Invitations to dance weekends in your area that always welcome beginners. Pay for meals and cook for you as well. Take care of any pets, especially doggies!
