ABOUT ME
Let's just say I don't have any trouble seizing the day. I worry about the future a bit, and reminisce about the past even less. I'm constantly finding new activities and they usually involve any combination of the following: the outdoors, food, languages, good people, alcohol, dance, Persian things, and not nearly enough time to do everything.
I constantly have travel on the brain and I'm currently working to move on from Chapel Hill.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in being kind to all people through personal interactions and responsible (loaded idea, eh?) living. Humility and generosity are important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host often and I've made some great friends with local CSers. The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill CSers are very active locally and organize potlucks and outings often. I love it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I feel like an 'old hand' at hosting already ^_^. I see many more surfs in the future.
Interests
I wouldn't be surprised if at least 30% of my time and money was spend on food related activities. I love to cook and share food.
I like to climb stuff, snowboard, make things with my hands, and dance (Latin at the moment).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't just pick one thing. Most moments should be amazing ^_^
I saw my sister pull a beer out of the fridge at 9:30 in the morning simply because breakfast was a burnt ends sandwich from a Kansas City joint (we were traveling and the sandwich wasn't going to travel with us) and she believed that was the right drink for the sandwich. As eating should be! My heart melted, like twice.
Teach, Learn, Share
Update your CS profile once in a while. You'll find your attitude changes over time...
People tell me I'm crazy for hosting strangers. That may be so, but to me my gesture of offering trust to someone I don't know is an opportunity for them to do the same for someone else and consequently affect another person. With more trust and sharing what we have (what or how much is not important) I believe society as a whole improves. Or depending on my mood: doesn't deteriorate as quickly.
