About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving to Maui to get a spa management job and teach!

ABOUT ME

I love outdoor activities-hiking, biking, skiing or just looking at the flowers and nature.
Belong to a book group and in addition probably read about 4-6 books a month.
Enjoy good food and drink, especially ethnic food and nice red wines. Prefer martinis and high quality tequila!
Thrive on new adventures, exploration and meeting new people.

I am told I have a calming presence, look 10 years younger than I am and easy to be around. Make a great house guest as I like to cook, garden and clean!

PHILOSOPHY

Be here now and be grateful for all I have in my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a brand new member and joined because my friend Jackie has met some great people through CS2. Her son has travelled in Europe through this.

I am moving to Maui in mid February and hope to find a place to crash while I look for a job and place to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None-I'm a newbie!
2/20 Moving to Maui tomorrow, looking for a couple couches in Lahina or Kehei for the next two weeks!

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading a great book called "Know-it-all" about a man who read the Encyclopedia Britanica front to back.
Like classics and a wide range from Barry Lopez to Isabelle Allende's writing.

Music preferences include The Grateful Dead, String Cheese, Bob Marley, blues, classic rock. Not into heavy metal or disco.

Prefer international and independent films. Although recently liked Juno, Across the Universe and Lars and the girl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Alaska, Machu Pichu, skied the Grand Tetons in Wyoming,
Yellowstone, Arches National Park, Empire State Building, snorkeling in Mexico, temples at Mt. Fuji......

I have attended 6 births for family and friends and it is MOST amazing to see new life enter the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook a gourmet meal, the proper way to drink red wine, give a great massage and help with the English language-I tutor English as a Second Language.

Looking to learn how to sail and sea kayak. Would like to take flying lessons some day.
Want to learn to Tango and Salsa :)
