Living in Montreal Quebec for the season to study, be back in the north in the spring, happy travelling to all and sorry for those I have missed I have not been attentive to my account since leaving.

I was raised in the Northwest Territories of Canada, born in the town of Inuvik raised on the Husky Channel near the Hamlet of Aklavik. My family brought me up living off the land as char fisherman and trappers. I have knowledge of the boreal forest healing plants and herbs, berries, trees and mushrooms that I love to share with others. I am a natural survivor and am helpful in camping and outdoor activities. I love to help others and do my best to help out wherever I can. I live in the Yukon now, but keep my traditional lifestyle as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to learn, to see touch feel and experience life in its fullest. The best way to do that is to travel and see through the eyes of people living in different areas. Not only that but being able to share my experiences of living in Northern Canada is something I like to do :)

Interests

I do not know where to begin. Art, literature, the great vast world of ours, meeting and learning about new and different people and places. I can find interest in many different things and am open minded to new experiences. I love to cook and taste. feel laugh and dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Haha this section I always find hard to fill, as my interest change with me.

Music: Today I was listening to George Brassens, tomorrow it may be the Rolling Stones, or Busta Rhymes. Anything goes.

Movies: I like to see action flicks, documentaries, and cartoons.

Books: Recent Favorite Series is by Isaac Asimov, but I usually dont read much science fiction. I like historical fiction, books on ancient civilizations, books on natural health care and botany.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I shot a fish in the water as a little girl. Never picked up a rifle again. I am also the only one in my family who has not killed a bear. One bear spared my life when I was small and Id like to think I am just connected to animal spirits...and not the lousy hunter in the family haha

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home food and what I consider comforts. My stories if anyone wants to listen, and my readily awaiting ear to listen to theirs. I have been told I carry very good energy around me, and I am always willing to share that as well.
