Overview
About Me
I recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and I'm looking to get to know my new home. I'm extremely extroverted and love getting to know people's stories and lives, young or old.
I up and moved to Asheville, North Carolina impulsively when I graduated July 2016, and enjoyed the beauty of the scenery, the mountains, and the people, but found it wasn't the city for me in terms of opportunity and lifestyle. Before that I lived in Georgetown, Texas for four years while getting my degree, and during my time there I have worked to register voters, worked in several democratic campaigns, worked towards environmental and social causes on my campus, hosted events, completed internships at both the state and city level (paid and not), and have witnessed firsthand the power of grassroots activism and the power of talking to your neighbor (and, of course, welcoming them into your home!). I was born in Oklahoma, but consider myself a Texan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking for avenues through which I can get introduced to an area without having to pay astronomical hotel prices or take a plunge into a lease. I love to get to know new people, especially people who love the place they're in and the life they lead.
However, I mostly host now, and I do that simply because I can't find a reason not to. I have the space and resources and love helping people and sharing. I'm very extroverted.
Interests
In my free time I sell stuff online, decorate silly items I own, garden, play dungeons and dragons, smoke, read articles and books, swim the river, swing dance (Lindy Hop), volunteer, do art, write, hike, take pictures of people, and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Put all my stuff in my car and moved to a new place without a plan not once, but twice. (And I don't have rich parents to help me out even a smidgen).
Teach, Learn, Share
Recently hurt my ankle so I'm not sure if I can teach Lindy Hop anymore, but I'm willing to talk propaganda/media strategies, introductory philosophy, any complex environmental concern, gardening techniques, college admissions, resume building, and probably more.
I'd love to learn and practice Spanish, swing dance in general, networking, and basically anything else in the whole world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I guess I'm pretty funny and flexible! I can teach you the stuff listed above! I have jokes!
