About Me

I don't know, I'm just me!
I'm studying Human Rights and love to work with refugees and migrants. Currently living in Australia with my partner and moving to Italy in September (if covid allows).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd much rather get to know a city from the locals than be a classic tourist. I want to be one of those people that has friends from all over the world and a lot of crazy stories to tell from all the cities they've visited. Also, I'm living on a college student budget... I know this is the last time I'll be on this side of the world for at least the next year as I finish my studies, so I want to visit as many places as possible.

Interests

When it comes to travel, there's three things that I always look for: street art, coffee shops, and thrift/vintage stores. Then when that's all said and done, I just like to wander and see what I discover. Other than these, I spend most of my time listening to music, drawing/painting, and photographing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: 1960s rock, pop, indie rock, political rap, folk rock, RnB

Movies: I don't think I can choose just one, but I do really like Across the Universe. Any movie that at the end of it, you rethink life or get a better appreciation of it, like Fight Club.

Books: My favorite kind of books are Utopian/Dystopian books, like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, and Brave New World. But, school hasn't really let me have enough time to read any personal books, so these days it's mostly books about the philosophy of justice, culture, migration, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

met a group of girls on my way back to Morocco who I ended up staying with during Eid celebrations at the end of Ramadan and introduced me to two Moroccans in Fes, that showed me the underground life of Morocco (a side you'd never think existed)

Teach, Learn, Share

There's not a lot I'm really skilled in, but I do know a bit about coffee, so if you want to learn how to make the perfect espresso, I've got your back. We can also practice speaking languages together 😊 I'm also open to learning anything new, if there's anything you'd be willing to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

coversation and company are always something I can share! I could also probably cook something Mexican- I make a mean fish taco

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
