About Me

Born and raised Hamiltonian who's just set out on her own. I've just moved into a new apartment and am ready to have my first couch surfer :) My experiences last year couchsurfing through Europe were unforgettable and I would love to meet more people and share experiences. My apartment is a 2 minute walk to the bus that will get you to Union Station in Toronto, so it's very convenient if you'd like to see Toronto too.

I have a sectional couch that'll fit a person on it, and if you have a blow-up mattress or foam sleeping pad there's room on the floor for another person. I've got a lot of throw pillows and an extra regular pillow, but no extra blankets at the moment. I've got a regular sized shower and towels, hair dryer/ straightener, and Netflix if you're interested. I have a large dog (who is currently a puppy, but will get large soon enough!) who sheds a TON so be aware of that. Please note that absolutely no smoking or drinking alcohol or other drugs are allowed in the apartment.

If you're staying with me I would love a snowglobe from your country (or state) I currently have :
Germany
Prague
Belgium
Holland
Poland
France
England
Switzerland
Puerto Rico
Virgin Islands
Ireland

Especially on the lookout now for another "PARIS" and "NEW YORK" snowglobes as the two of mine broke in transport.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having stayed in both hotels and with hosts in various cities, I can see why people love couchsurfing. It's great to meet people, form that instant friendship, and be able to learn about another culture that you really don't get when you're inside the bubble of a hotel.

I love to host people and show them around- there's more to this city and to Ontario than most people realize! If you have a week or so off, come explore Niagara Falls, Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa :)

Interests

I play Pokemon TCG competitively, love food (especially chocolate!), drawing, comedy, learning about ancient and foreign cultures, and just living life to the fullest! I'm disabled and likely to be in a wheelchair within the next few years, so I want to make it around the world and have the world come to me so I can experience as much of it as possible!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of punk, rock, pop-punk, nu-metal and metal. I love going to concerts and am pretty lucky that I live near Toronto, one of the only places in Canada that foreign musicians actually travel :p

My favourite movies are a lot of new superhero ones, and I'm so happy that Deadpool finally came out after so many years in the making.

Most of the books I love are rather political or educational, so pretty boring there unfortunately ^^'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed a Bachelor's Degree, College Certification, and Post-Grad in less than 3 years.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a native English speaker, I can totally teach English if you would like! I'd also love to learn some new languages, specifically French and ASL, though a bit of knowledge of everything never hurts!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My boyfriend and I would be great surfers; we don't drink or do drugs so there's no need to worry about needing to drag us home at night!

I would also love to bring my hosts a token of my appreciation of something Canadian if you're interested! Depending on customs laws I can maybe bring authentic maple syrup, or Canadian candies, or scarves or other souvenirs.

Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, United States
