Overview
About Me
I am 36 years old with the travel bug - musical, happy, spiritual, love philosophical conversations, exposure to new cultures, open-minded and compassionate! Very accepting of different cultures, ideas, I have a gentle personality with a fire for a good-natured debate.
I love live music, wine, craft beer - 420 friendly, all of these in moderation - I am not interested or comfortable around harder substances.
Interesting architecture, beautiful landscapes, art and learning new things make me come to life. I tend to be a solo wanderer, who enjoys random connections with strangers that often become great friends. Enter couchsurfing :)
For hosting - I do work from home, and require quiet/privacy throughout the day for this reason. But I offer a private room with queen bed and desk, a pull-out couch in shared living area, shared kitchen/bathroom, and a friendly pup for fur love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't want to be a tourist. I want to experience people and places authentically. I want to connect, feel, not brush by on the surface. I'd rather dig in deep.

Music, Movies, and Books
My parents raised me on rock and indie rock - it will always have a space in my heart. Before my swicth to an IT career I was a regularily performing singer, mainly of jazzier renditions of motown tunes.
Any film that tells a truth, teaches, explores humanity or nature. I tend to choose documentaries, drama, or interesting animation. I like a good action or horror flick sometimes too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've climbed mountains, been alone a room talking with the Queen of England, had drinks with Royalty, moved away on a whim, things like this... but my relationship with my big, beautiful family is my greatest love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know the best places in Halifax to go for jazz music, pizza, craft beer...
I can take you to some of the most beautiful trails and beaches. We could buy lobster and mussels right off the fisherman's boat, and cook it over a fire near the ocean. A true NS experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, experiences, honesty, acceptance and good wine.
Happy to help with English! I am highly trained in food service and home management, (have worked for Brit Royals), an excellent organizer, love pets and children and can help in this area too!
