Hello! My name is Chelsea, but feel free to call me Chels. I currently live in Anchorage, Alaska (USA) and I love traveling (we all must if we're on here). I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether that's hiking, biking, running, playing ultimate frisbee, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping, or just hanging out with friends. I got a degree in Environmental Science and currently work as a Researcher for a Tribal Organization. I am very outgoing and love having conversations with people. I am always trying to meet new people and open my horizons. I like reading and writing in my journal in my spare time and am always down to drink coffee! If you have anymore questions, please ask :)

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it is an affordable way to meet people wherever you're going! I know that when I'm traveling I can sometimes find it hard to meet people in the area, especially if I'm traveling alone. I think Hostels can be great but sometimes can be too rowdy and although I love hanging out with people, I'm not always the "stay up super late" kind of person. I think getting to know people in a personal setting is great and I value what everyone knows about their areas. I can have just as much fun cooking dinner with my Couchsurfing buddies as I can roaming the streets looking at sites. I always appreciate a free place to stay, but I think the ability to interact with people from all over the world is what really sold me on Couchsurfing.

音乐、电影和书籍

I genuinely love all types of music! I took French classes in highschool and although my French is very poor, I loved listening to "popular" songs in France. I also listen to all sorts of American music as well, from Beyoncé to Country, rock n roll and hip hop. I love when people share their music with me because it feels like a great way to know a person plus it feels personal. My favorite movies are The Goonies, Rocky 4, and The Wizard of Oz (all 80's woo hoo!) As for books, I loved To Kill a Mockingbird and In Cold Blood. I really enjoy reading environmental books that discuss current issues (climate change, food shortages, factory farming, evolution). Those are typically the books I'll check out from the library!

Oh boy! Well, I'm still alive and I try and live every day to the fullest. I've done a lot of traveling within the US and I am pretty proud of that. I moved to Alaska all by myself and am crushing it up here. I did conservation work in Brazil and now have a lifelong friend from that!
